Fight Like Apes - Lend Me Your Face

Fight Like Apes are an Irish music band formed in Dublin in 2006. Their members are Tom (bass), Adrian (drums), “Pockets” (so named because of his tendency to “pocket” cigarette lighters) on synth and Maykay on vocals and synth. The band were nominated for two Meteor Awards in 2008, one for Best Live Performance for their November 2007 gig at Whelan’s, and the other for Best Irish Band.

The Frames - Star Star

The Frames is an influential Irish band based in Dublin. Founded in 1990, the group has released six albums and appeared in numerous music videos. The band’s ex-bassist John Carney has become a film director, writing and directing the award-winning 2007 film Once, which stars the band’s singer/guitarist Glen Hansard, who wrote much of the music for the film.
