The Fat Lady Sings - Arclight

The Fat Lady Sings were a rock band initially from Dublin, Ireland, fronted by singer and songwriter Nick Kelly. Almost immediately after forming, they relocated to London, and remained there for the rest of their 8 year career. They remained self-financed and self-managed for 18 months, building a substantial live following. In January 1994, the band split with the lead man Nick Kelly announcing that he was quitting.

Cyclefly - Supergod

Cyclefly was an alternative rock band from Cork, Ireland. The band had a cult underground following across the UK, Ireland, and the U.S., and were famous amongst fans for lead singer Declan O’Shea’s wild on-stage persona and intense live presence. He was often known to climb to the top of lighting rigs and jump into the crowd. The band’s work is also recognizable for the high-pitched, almost synthesized-sounding voice of O’Shea.

Fight Like Apes - Lend Me Your Face

Fight Like Apes are an Irish music band formed in Dublin in 2006. Their members are Tom (bass), Adrian (drums), “Pockets” (so named because of his tendency to “pocket” cigarette lighters) on synth and Maykay on vocals and synth. The band were nominated for two Meteor Awards in 2008, one for Best Live Performance for their November 2007 gig at Whelan’s, and the other for Best Irish Band.

The Frames - Star Star

The Frames is an influential Irish band basedĀ in Dublin. Founded in 1990, the group has released six albums and appeared in numerous music videos. The band’s ex-bassist John Carney has become a film director, writing and directing the award-winning 2007 film Once, which stars the band’s singer/guitarist Glen Hansard, who wrote much of the music for the film.

Thin Lizzy are an Irish hard rock band that was formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1969. The band was originally led by bassist, songwriter and singer Phil Lynott. They are best known for their songs Whiskey in the Jar, Jailbreak, The Boys Are Back in Town and Bad Reputation, all major international hits still played regularly on hard rock and classic rock radio stations.
