The Cranberries – Linger

An Irish alternative rock group, The Cranberries rose to mainstream popularity back in the 1990s. The band has sold an estimated 43 million albums worldwide, excluding singles. Since 2003, the band has been on hiatus as the members of The Cranberries pursue solo careers. Enjoy the video below of Linger, lyrics of which were written by the band’s vocalist, Dolores O’Riordan.

Enya – May It Be

An Irish singer and songwriter, Enya is Ireland’s best-selling solo artist and has won four Grammy awards and is also known for performing in 10 different languages. Below is the video for May It Be, which was used in the phenomenal hit trilogy, The Lord of The Rings.

Boyzone – Words

A popular Irish boyband of the 1990s, Boyzone had major success in the UK and Ireland, as well as parts of Europe and Asia. By 2007, Boyzone had sold more than 15 million records. Four compilation albums have been released, the latest being The Silver Collection in theĀ  summer of 2007.

U2 – Vertigo

Now, the band is more than a phenomenon – they are a living legend. Having won more Grammy awards than any other band, selling more than 170 million albums worldwide, U2 has also dedicated their time as a band and as individuals in campaigning for human rights and social causes.
